​Dr Melanie has been a Physical Therapist for almost 20 years. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, Vestibular Therapist, and Fascial Counterstrain specialist.  

 

Melanie has always known she wanted to be a Physical Therapist.  She always felt driven to help others.  She graduated from UW-LaCrosse in 2005 and worked at Tomah Memorial Hospital as a Vestibular specialist for the next 5 years, during which she completed her transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy at St. Catherine University. In 2010, she moved to Monterey, CA, and worked at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula as a Vestibular and balance specialist.  She then moved to Columbia, South Carolina in 2015 and became the Certified Lymphedema Therapist for Lexington Medical Center.  In 2017, she took several traveling positions that took her back to Northern Wisconsin and family.  In 2018, she took a position at Park Nicollet as a Lymphedema specialist and remained there until 2025 when she decided to go full time with her own private practice, Vital Energy Physical Therapy, specializing in Fascial Counterstrain.

Vital Energy is a continuation of her dream of helping others in their pursuit of wellness.  She believes in healing our bodies through more holistic and naturopathic methods, and not just increasing our lifespan, but rather healthspan, meaning focusing on more of those years remaining healthy and free from disease. She has two kids and a fur baby. She loves to be outdoors, exploring with the family, and is always open to trying new and alternative healing techniques.
